The DPC02 is a combined serial data and power functions in the same cable. You can power your GPS from a cigarette lighter socket while exchanging data with a personal computer through the serial RS232 interface. As most modern laptop computers no longer have this interface, please check if you have a DB9 male connector socket in your computer, looking like the picture below.

If not you should consider one of our direct USB cables, UDC1 or UDPC02.

Lengths: 2,15 meter from the GPS to the PC and 1.7 meter from the PC to the cigarette lighter plug.
